About the Project
A performance-first personal platform Nexolve built for Dr. Rajendra Shende, IIT alumnus, former UNEP Division Director, co-author of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning IPCC 2007 report, and founder of the Green TERRE Foundation. The platform is a two-portal MERN application: a public-facing website for global media and Marathi-speaking communities, and a private admin portal for content management, both deployed on Hostinger VPS with Nginx. The Node.js + Express.js backend powers content management, contact routing via Nodemailer, and newsletter subscriptions stored in MongoDB. Google Analytics and Google Search Console ensure the platform reaches both international and domestic audiences organically.
How It Works
- 1
The two-portal MERN stack runs on Hostinger VPS, Nginx terminates SSL and reverse-proxies to the React frontend build and the Node.js/Express.js API; MongoDB stores articles, speeches, UN award records, and OvenFresh newsletter content.
- 2
The React admin portal allows Dr. Shende's team to author and publish long-form environmental essays, keynote speeches, and event records without developer involvement; the public React app fetches content via the Express.js REST API.
- 3
Open Graph and JSON-LD metadata is generated server-side per content page, ensuring clean link previews when shared on LinkedIn, Twitter, and WhatsApp, critical for an author with global media reach.
- 4
Nodemailer handles contact form submissions and newsletter subscription confirmations, routing media enquiries and speaking requests to the appropriate team member via structured email templates.
- 5
Google Search Console monitors organic rankings for environmental leadership and climate policy queries; Google Analytics surfaces the geographic and demographic breakdown of the international audience.
