About the Project
Smart Campus Cloud Network is the global digital infrastructure binding 550+ institutions to a shared net-zero commitment, founded by Dr. Rajendra Shende and launched at COP27. Nexolve built the platform as a two-portal MERN application, a public-facing institution hub and a private UDaN (University Data & Action Network) dashboard, deployed on Hostinger VPS with Nginx as the reverse proxy. The Node.js + Express.js backend serves a React frontend, with MongoDB storing campus carbon data and Nodemailer delivering automated climate action report emails to connected institutions. Google Analytics and Google Search Console track the platform's international institutional reach.
How It Works

The two-portal MERN stack runs on Hostinger VPS, Nginx reverse-proxies the React frontend build and the Node.js/Express.js API, with MongoDB as the document store for campus energy, water, and waste data.

Institutions connect via a standardised REST API or manual upload portal, submitting monthly kWh, water consumption, and waste diversion figures that are validated and stored in MongoDB.

The UDaN carbon accounting engine applies IPCC emission factors by region and energy source, calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 footprints at campus level, rendered as interactive Chart.js dashboards.

Nodemailer sends automated AICTE-formatted climate action reports from aggregated dashboard data, reducing compliance reporting from weeks to minutes and notifying institutions of benchmark progress.

Google Search Console tracks the organic visibility of country-specific climate action landing pages; Google Analytics surfaces which institution types and geographies engage most with the platform.
